Memory of the Soul and Japan — The Gaia Code and Japan’s Role in a New Era

The Gaia Code - A New Earth Rhythm According to "The Gaia Code" by Kazuo Chiga, the Earth has a natural energy rhythm, similar to breathing. This rhythm isn’t just symbolic but geographically mapped: for the last few centuries, the central pulse of civilization has shifted approximately every 650 to 800 years along a band of latitude. From Mesopotamia to Egypt, Greece, Rome, Western Europe, and recently, North America. Now, it is shifting to East Asia—specifically to Japan.

Japan on the 135th Meridian East Japan lies directly on the 135°E longitude, which Chiga identifies as the new energy axis of the Earth. Cities like Kyoto, Kobe, and Awaji Island align with this meridian. Just as Greenwich (0°) symbolizes time's origin, 135°E may represent the starting point of a new energetic cycle on Earth. It is believed this region is where a new civilization rooted in harmony with Earth and spirit will begin to blossom.

Japan as the Model for the New Earth Japan, with its deep reverence for nature and longstanding Shinto traditions, is seen as holding the template for a future civilization. A place where ancient spiritual wisdom and modern innovation can co-exist. Its values of harmony, community, and spiritual consciousness are now seen as key for a sustainable future. This shift invites not domination, but stewardship and co-creation.

My Personal Calling I was born and raised in Yamato region of Nara prefecture—a spiritual heartland of Japan. I feel a deep soul resonance with this land, and as a guide, I have been helping visitors reconnect to the spiritual essence of Japan. Through my tours and journey, I came to believe that my soul's mission is to be a bridge between ancient Japan and the new Earth community. Just recently, small eco villages, sustainability-oriented communities are rising here and there in Japan.

The Gaia Code validated my intuitive feeling: Japan is more than a country—it is a spiritual node of Earth. And those who feel mysteriously drawn to Japan may be remembering something in their soul.
